Tahiti have secured a record fifth OFC Beach Soccer Men’s Nations Cup title, beating Solomon Islands 4–3 at Aorai Tini Hau in Pirae.
The victory also qualified the Tiki Toa for the 2027 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, their ninth appearance at the tournament.
Rainui Tze-Yu scored the decisive goal in the 34th minute after Solomon Islands had fought back from 3–1 down to level the final.
Max Fa’ari opened the scoring for Solomon Islands. Tahiti responded through Raimana Li Fung Kuee, goalkeeper Teave Teamotuitau and Ro’onui Tinirauarii before Ramsy Melo and Roy Mafane brought the visitors back into the contest.
Tze-Yu’s late winner settled a final between teams that had started the tournament with four continental titles each.
Tahiti now stand alone on five, with four consecutive tournament wins. For Solomon Islands, a close final ended without the World Cup place they had been chasing.
The result adds another chapter to one of Oceania’s established sporting rivalries.
